Description

The MetaboloGenomics lab in the Computational Biology Department of Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Computer Science is looking for a postdoctoral fellow to participate in projects involving analysis of large scale metabolomics and metagenomics data using tools from machine learning, genome mining, graph theory, statistics and signal processing to discover novel small molecule biomarkers in the human microbiome. Position will be available starting October 1, 2017.


Qualifications

· Doctoral degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics or similar field
· 1-3 years of experience with large scale data mining and/or data integration
· Excellent analytical and oral/written communication skills
