Description

Li-San Wang’s Lab is hiring a data analyst to participate in ongoing research on the genetics of Alzheimer’s Disease and other neurodegenerative disorders. Duties include (1) development of data repositories and workflows for big genomics data management, integration and analysis; (2) development of programs and workflows for next generation sequencing analysis; (3) contributing to the development, testing, and maintenance of genomics research resources at Wang Lab.

Position is contingent on continued funding.


Qualifications

A Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, bioinformatics, or other related fields, and a minimum of 2 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, are required. Skills and expertise with big data management, analysis, and high performance computing using modern technologies such as NoSQL or Spark framework required. Familiarity with R, Python, and/or C/C++ required. Training and experience with bioinformatics and genomics optional but preferred.
