Description

We are looking for a motived individual to join our lab as a Postdoctoral Fellow to study RNA regulation using Computational Biology approaches.

He/she will use Bioinformatics and Computational Biology techniques to study biogenesis and metabolism of mRNAs and lncRNAs in cancer and neurological diseases. Collaboration with wet lab scientists is expected. Some aspects of the work will involve analysis of single cells and patient samples. The successful candidate is also expected to develop novel algorithms for specific genomic methods, if needed.

Interested individuals should contact Dr. Bin Tian by email (btian@rutgers.edu) with a CV including a summary of previous research and contact information of three referees. We offer competitive salary and employee benefits. The salary will be commensurate with experience.

Our lab uses molecular biology, genomics, and computational approaches to study RNA biology, including alternative cleavage and polyadenylation, transcriptional regulation, epigenetic control, mRNA decay, mRNA localization, and translation. Detailed research topics and publications can be found at tianlab.org.

Our lab is located in Northern New Jersey, which is in close proximity to New York City. Many scientific and educational opportunities are available in the NY/NJ metropolitan area, as well as cultural, entertainment and sports activities. Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is a leading national research university and the state’s preeminent, comprehensive public institution of higher education.
