ITTM (Information Technology for Translational Medicine) S.A. is a young and dynamic start-up company which is specialised in management and analysis of data from clinical trials.
We are seeking to employ an enthusiastic post-doctoral researcher to coordinate and execute a framework of bioinformatics projects; to develop, extend and maintain an Alzheimer’s Disease Map (disease-related molecular interactions) in close collaboration with our industry partner.
Type of Employment: full time (40 h/week); start date: as soon as possible
Contract type: fixed term (2 years, may be extended)
Languages needed: English
Travel time: 20%
Your duties:
• Coordination and executing of a framework of bioinformatics projects on curation, exploration and maintenance of disease maps (in particular: Alzheimer’s Disease)
• Management of collaborations with wetlab scientists on application of disease maps in experimental design
• Management of collaborations with computational biologists on development and refinement of analytical pipelines for disease maps
• Presentation and promotion of the projects at international events

Requirements.
• Experienced in medical aspects of molecular biology, ‘omics’ and genetics in neurodegenerative disorders – especially in Alzheimer’s Disease
• Experienced in management of scientific projects
• Familiar with a wide set of analytical methods and bioinformatics tools
• Detail-oriented, highly organized, having excellent written and verbal communications skills and capable of communicating complex materials to co-workers and project partners
• Having strong interpersonal skills, capable of coordinating efforts of a multi-disciplinary team.
• You have very good IT user skills especially with the MS Office package.
• Experience in the curation of medical and biological data and knowledge of biological descriptive languages (SMBL, openBEL or BioPAX) is a strong advantage
