The Gitter and Gasch Labs seek an ambitious postdoctoral fellow to develop computational methods for biological network inference at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the Morgridge Institute for Research. The position is part of a broader collaboration between Dr. Anthony Gitter and Dr. Audrey Gasch, aimed at creating methods for multi-omic data integration, elucidating eukaryotic signaling and transcriptional networks across environmental conditions, and linking signaling networks in the model budding yeast to processes that underlie human diseases, especially cancer. This offers an exceptional opportunity for wet-lab validation and refinement of computational predictions.
The postdoctoral fellow will lead computational research projects under the mentorship of Dr. Gitter with additional mentoring and optional wet-lab training in Dr. Gasch’s lab. The fellow will have the opportunity to be supported through the Morgridge Postdoctoral Fellowship Program, which awards three-year fellowships. Morgridge Postdoctoral Fellows work in the state-of-the-art, multi-disciplinary Discovery Building and receive strong benefits such as robust health insurance, a retirement plan, and career development training.
