Bioinformatics Office (NGS)

Description

We are looking for a Bioinformatics Officer whose role will focus on the provision of broad, state-of-the art bioinformatics and biostatistics analysis to support cancer research across the ICR, and will involve both applying bioinformatics and the development of bioinformatics pipelines, with a focus on the analysis and interpretation of Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) data.

The successful candidate will be working in a stimulating, multi-disciplinary environment, alongside clinicians, chemists, bioinformaticians and biologists. The post will be based in London and Sutton. Appointment will be to the HSO grade with starting salary in the range of £32,145 to £40,018 p.a. inclusive (based on previous experience). Appointment will be for 3 years in the first instance, and benefits from a contributory defined benefit pension scheme and generous leave entitlement.

Qualifications

A PhD in Cancer biology, genetics and or computational biology is highly desirable
