Postdoctoral Fellow - Bioinformatics and Computational Biology

Location: Greenwood, SC

Dr. Zhana Duren's lab in the center for human genetics at Clemson University is looking for a postdoctoral research fellow (1 year appointment, can be renewed) to work on bioinformatics and computational biology.

Dr. Duren is an assistant professor starting in August 2020. His research interest is developing novel computational tools for integrative analysis of genomics data to infer gene regulatory networks, to detect heterogeneity by single cell genomics, and to annotate the regulatory function of genetic variants by context-specific manner. The long-term research goal is to answer the key scientific question" How non-coding genetic variant act through context specific gene regulatory network to influence phenotype". For more information, please refer to the Duren lab website: www.durenlab.com.

Clemson University is South Carolina's public land-grant University. As a Carnegie R1 Institution, the University has excellent research resources including the globally ranked Palmetto Cluster high performance computing cluster; Sciences Genomics and Bioinformatics Facility; state-of-the-art light microscopy, electron microscopy, animal, or fish facilities; a multi-user analytical laboratory and metabolomics core; and the Campbell Museum of Natural History.
