The successful applicant will be hired for a technical position to facilitate scientific research. This candidate will be assigned responsibility for development and management of the research group ́s multi-omics data and (meta)genomics strategy. Main activities will be working with sequencing data for genome and metagenome assembly, transcriptomics, amplicon sequence analysis and integration with mass spectrometry-based data. This person will work closely with experimentalists and be able to learn fundamentals of laboratory and field-based molecular biology techniques. This may include occasional opportunities to participate on field work in the Arctic.

The appointee will be a valuable resource to the group in connection with teaching and practical guidance of MSc and PhD students and collaborators of the group.
