Dr. Pingzhao Hu at The Department of Biochemistry and Medical Genetics and Department of Computer Science of the University of Manitoba has a funded graduate position in Bioinformatics/Statistical Genetics. This position will be funded for 4 years with annual research assistantship $21,000. The candidate will develop and apply computational and statistical methods to integrate multiple complex health data to build prediction models and identify biomarkers.
The successful candidates should have strong background in broadly defined life science/medicine and be familiar with R or python programming or you can learn them quickly. He/She should have MSc degree.
