Job Summary/Basic Function
The Montgomery lab is looking for a Data Analyst / Bioinformatics Specialist to conduct genetic analyses, perform power calculations and statistics, present data and prepare reports, work independently and as a team player and perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Math, Statistics, MIS, Computer Science, Biostatistics, Epidemiology or related field and one year of relevant statistical and/or analysis experience and 3 – 5 years of relevant experience
Applied analysis experience essential. Superb computer skills including experience with R, S-plus or similar statistical package required. Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with diverse personalities and cultures.
Minimum Degree Required Bachelors Degree
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Biostatistics / Epidemiology highly desired. Programming experience a plus.
Physical Demands
Regularly moves about the work environment, talks, hears and listens. Occasionally lifts or moves up to 10 pounds. Requires the ability to see. The noise level and typical work conditions are consistent with an office environment.
