Description

A Physical Activity Genomics, Epigenomics/transcriptomics Site (PAGES) of the NIH Molecular Transducers of Physical Activity Consortium (MoTrPAC) commonfund.nih.gov/moleculartransducers/overview is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral associate to join a vibrant, interactive computational and experimental environment to develop methods for the identification of molecular fingerprints of physical activity in humans and animal models.

The postdoctoral associate will be a key member of a cutting edge interdisciplinary biomedical research team (PAGES, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai), involved in many aspects of multi-omics data analysis and the development of methods for data integration. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the other MoTrPAC sites to coordinate analysis and data dissemination efforts.


Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a strong research background, good quantitative and programming abilities, along with a demonstrated interest in applying these skills to problems in biology. Experience with NGS data and experience in machine learning would also be considered a strong positive.
