Position Offered: The focus of this position is data analysis and machine learning to develop diagnostic products.
The Computational Biologist will be responsible for driving research from conception to publication to implementation.
Duties include analysis of bioinformatics data, development of predictive algorithms, and presentations of findings in accordance with Institutional Review Board (IRB) criteria and HIPAA compliance. The Computational Biologist will also be responsible for sharing knowledge within the research team and within the company.

Education: PhD in computational biology, bioinformatics, or related field. PhD/Masters in statistics or data science will be considered with biology training. History of collaborative analysis and publications required.
Requirements:
Experience performing exploratory data analysis, data visualization, predictive modeling, and scientific writing and presentations
Experience with gene sequencing and RNA sequencing, alignment methods, data analysis, and interpretation
Experience programing in R, Python, and/or MATLAB
Ideal candidates will be familiar with version control systems and protocols

Strong interpersonal communication skills and willingness to learn
Organize and prioritize work tasks with attention to detail
